Developing and Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) That Work in the School Setting

WPS is proud to offer a three-part webinar series designed to prepare practitioners to work with problem behavior. Throughout the series, practitioners will learn a range of procedures and methods to operationally define the behavior, collect and analyze data, understand the function that the problem behavior serves, create, and implement effective BIPs, and problem-solve challenging behavior. After each webinar, attendees will have access to an online tool kit containing strategies and resources for immediate use.

Developing and Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) That Work in the School Setting is the second course within the three-part series titled The Behavior Playbook for School Psychologists. This session is designed to expand the knowledge and comfortability of educational professionals (school psychologists, psychologists, teachers, BCBA’s, behavior specialists, and other professionals) in creating and implementing school-based BIPs. Participants will apply their understanding of functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to complete a competing behavior pathway and draft an intervention plan. This session will discuss the importance of connecting function-based interventions and provide ways to monitor the effectiveness of the plan developed. It will also provide key tips for consultation and partnership with parents and other providers throughout the planning process. Lastly, this session will provide access to an online tool kit containing strategies and resources for immediate use.
